8/8: Dan and Nilda went out bike riding today, and were followed by a certain bear that they claimed came from Patterson. Am I mistaken, or is Dan trying to use Nilda as a shield? Has he no shame?
8/15: Went on our annual bike ride with Dan and Nilda yesterday (for the life of me, I don't know why). Dan insisted on tailgating before going on the ride. He also decided to get into the white
zinfandel. I knew that was a bad idea. As it turned out, it was.
Just as I could have predicted, it wasn't long before the zinfandel "kicked in" on our ride. We heard Dan yell out "Grizzly." He then proceded to lose control of his bike.
We all watched, as Dan went head over heels with the bike off the trail. Making our way down an embankment, we found him where he had landed - in the Saw Mill River.
If you look carefully, you can see the "Grizzly," sitting on the rock, that caused Dan to lose control. If I didn't know better, I could swear that rabbit had a smile on it's face. Feeling rather brazen, the "Grizzly" made it's way back up the hill to intimidate other bikers on the trail, but Nilda would have none of it.
8/16: I was anxious to establish a date for next year's reunion, and we now have Saturday, Aug. 6th for the "main event." Keep this date in mind before making travel plans, etc. for next summer.
